I was scrolling through photos of pileated woodpeckers and ran into your FANTASTIC image of a pileated looking over his shoulder (that’s how I characterize it, anyway). I’m a retired surgeon, and I make marquetry pictures of birds to decorate plaques, boxes, and trays.
This is a technique using pieces of veneer to create images. Could I base one of my images on your photo? I’d be happy to send you a picture of it when I’m done.
